Multiplatform compatibility

the game should run on all platforms (ios, android web, mac, windows)?
or can it only work on some of them (mobile, desktop)?

    Hi Federico!

The team is thinking mostly iOS, web, Android, and then more bonus points for desktop (Linux, Windows, macOS)

You will not be penalized if you do not have multi platform functionality.

@matlab, this is a FLUTTER/DART-only event. The language supports making applications (games, in this event) and those run on different screen sizes and OS. So, there is no point in being a web dev in this event. You have to make a flutter game that should run on various screen sizes.

Flutter is designed for cross-platform compatibility, allowing you to build apps for iOS, Android, web, and desktop from a single codebase.

@Private user I know, I mean I will debug my Flutter Flame game only on google chrome. I already build one game in Flutter before but it only works on web. and as Dani mentioned, it is allowed to build for single platform.

Dani, you mentioned that we won't be penalized for making only a single-screen game (suppose, only for Android). But then you mentioned that for the desktop games (Linux, windows, macOS) the project will be awarded BONUS points. Is someone will get bonus points, then those who will be submitting only a single platform game, then not getting extra points is equivalent to being penalized!

I guess, the game theme and execution should only be prioritized!

    Hi Vishal,

I can see how that would be confusing. Those who submit a multiplatform game will be judged on an additional criteria, however the average of all scores will still be processed the same way. On Devpost, when judges are scoring projects they will provide a score for each criteria that is applicable. The scores for each criteria are then averaged into an overall score. The average is applied regardless of whether there are 4 or 5 criteria included. Please let me know if this is still confusing in any way!
