Optimize your project for the Global Gamers Judges
The review team and Judges are eagerly awaiting to see what you built! As you continue to work on your project over the next few weeks, keep in mind how the judging process works.
Stage One: The first stage will determine via pass/fail whether the Entry meets a baseline level of viability, in that the Entry reasonably fits the theme and reasonably applies the required APIs/SDKs featured in the Contest.
Stage Two: The second stage will determine which projects rank within the top 20 submissions. Eligible submitters will be notified on or around March 29, 2024. Feedback from the Flutter team will be provided to the top 20 submissions. All edits and modifications to the top 20 projects must be finalized and sent to Google by April 11, 2024 before 11:59 PM PT. Instructions on how to submit the updates to Google will be emailed before April 11, 2024.
Stage Three: All Entries that pass Stage Two will be evaluated by the Judges in Stage Three based on the following equally weighted criteria:
-
Overall execution
-
Projects will be evaluated based on whether they are responsive to screen size changes, can work with different modes of play (trackpad, mouse, keyboard, and touch for mobile web), and accessibility.
-
-
Use of Animation
-
Projects will be evaluated based on the visual appeal and implementation of animation widgets.
-
-
Originality
-
Projects will be evaluated based on uniqueness and creativity. Include an innovative and engaging game concept.
-
-
Best potential value to the community
-
Project submissions will be evaluated based on the quality of any tutorials or additional content provided that has the potential to enrich the Flutter community. This includes but is not limited to educational materials, demos, product feedback, etc.
-
-
Use of environmental sustainability content
-
Projects will be evaluated based on relevance to the theme of sustainability and global impact.
-
-
Multiplatform
-
Projects that are deployed to multiple platforms will be evaluated based on their quality across all platforms. Demo video must include the game being played across multiple platforms.
-
- Impact
- Does your game have potential for real-world impact? Does your game build community and encourage interactions?
The Entries that receive the highest overall scores will be selected as the potential winner(s). Please note that the judges are not required to download or test your project and will depend heavily on the presentation of your project in action within your video. Best of luck as you continue to prepare for the judges!
